Resident Spotlight: Ann Pasquale

Imagine coming to North Fort Meyers in the spring of 1985 and stumbling upon a community with a handful of houses on roads that weren’t even paved—and buying one of those houses! That’s how Tara Woods resident Ann Pasquale came to spend decades in the community.

Scam Alert: The Windshield Scam

After a perfectly nice outing to the shopping center or the grocery store, you head to your car for the trip home. So far, so good—until you reach your car.

Out of nowhere, someone approaches you and points to a crack or a ding on your windshield. The person offers to fix your windshield and bill your insurance company for you. You will suffer no out-of-pocket expense. It’s going to be a freebie.

Pet Etiquette for a Dog-Friendly Community

Several residents asked us to run an article on pet etiquette. We’re more than happy to oblige by providing some pointers.

Our community is extremely pet friendly, and living among other pets and their guardians requires us all to observe basic pet etiquette. Here are a few pointers from the experts.

Happy Fourth of July

As we celebrate our country’s independence, let’s remember those men and women who are away from home, in harm’s way, fighting to keep us free. For those men and women serving, for those who have served in the past and for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, we salute you and thank you.

Doug’s Corner

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our residents for their patience during the time our office was under repairs. The water damage was extensive but we have come through shining brighter than ever. We have a fresh look with a few items still to complete, but we are anxious to show off our new look. Please stop in and say hi.

Welcome Mary White, Sales Associate

Mary White recently received her real estate license and joined the Tara Woods team in May of this year. While she’s held a lot of jobs and enjoyed them all—mostly sales jobs, she says, “This, out of all the jobs I’ve had, is the perfect fit.” For the past 15 years, she’s held a sales management job—a terrific prerequisite for assisting the myriad people who walk through her door at Tara Wood.

Homeowner Tip of the Month: Routine Maintenance Saves Headaches

Maintenance of manufactured homes isn't restricted to repairs. In fact, certain tasks—when performed regularly—may actually prevent things from breaking in the first place.

Hometown America Cares About Your Opinion!

Hometown America recently sent a survey on services and amenities for your community. Unfortunately after several attempts to collect homeowner’s email addresses over the past few years, we only have email addresses from about 8 percent of our residents. Sharing your email is very important for you as a resident.

Sam Jokich’s Spectacular Photographer, Spectacular Photos

Tara Woods resident Sam Jokich found his inner photographer just a year ago. In fact, he had never thought of himself as an artist. But, then he discovered all the beautiful birds that call Tara Woods home, and he grew into a talented, amateur photographer. Before retirement, he worked at a decidedly left-brain career—in sales with the National Federation of Independent Business.

Love It or List It?

Your full-time, in-house Sales Department is excited to remind you this month of two important items when it comes to you and your home in the community.

Hurricanes 101

June 1 marked the beginning of Atlantic hurricane season, and it runs through November 30, 2016. As we put together this issue of The Bulletin, the earliest “C” storm (hurricane beginning with a letter C), Colin, is forming in the Atlantic Ocean.
