The season is in full swing at Tara Woods, and our seasonal residents have come home for the winter.
We had a great Christmas party. New Year’s Eve and January saw the beginning of our club dinners. The first Saturday of January, we had a great show—Red Hot & Blue Collar, brought in by our sound and lighting group.
The second Saturday of the month was our Second Annual Facial Hair for Cancer Awareness 5K/10K Walk Run. Resident Marie Springsteen chaired the event, and many of our residents volunteered and/or participated in the event. Read more about it and view a slide show in this newsletter.
Saturday, January 21, 2017, was our movie night at the Clubhouse. The featured movie was The Intern, and it and popcorn (what would a movie be without popcorn?) was free to residents.
On Saturday, January 28, 2017, we held our Annual Yard Sale.
February has been just as busy. We held a Super Bowl party and a Valentine’s party.
We finished the month with Residents’ Appreciation day on Saturday, February 25, 2017. Residents enjoyed games, a free lunch and dance. We ended the day with awards
The season is young, and we have much more fun in store for everyone in the coming months.
